Zone 1 - Zone 2 Run

Today's scheduled workout was Run 1:15 Z1 - Z2.

I thought that it was a bit colder outside than it actually was, so I was a tiny bit overdressed. I was also a little worried about how I was going to feel since I had overshot my bike workout yesterday. But, all in all the workout was fine. I kept a comfortable pace and made it through the scheduled time in good spirits.

Road Ride Zone 2

[Saturday, April 4, 2015]

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 2:00 Z2.

When I started out I was a tiny bit chilly. It was somewhere in the mid-60's. I rode downtown and hit the Cherry Creek Trail. Today I stuck with it through to mile 9 and then started heading back on Yale. I ended up riding about 2:20.

I didn't wear a HR monitor. But, I think I had a fair amount of the ride in which I was definitely in Z2.

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 1:00 Z2 with a 5 minute pickup at 0:45.

I had to get in my workout late in the afternoon. The weather was a bit chilly and snowy. But, I was still able to ride outside and was very happy to not be riding a stationary bike for an hour.

I completed my workout nice and early this morning. I did not wear a HR monitor. I think that I'm still a little slow on the run compared to other bricks I have done.

Today's scheduled workout was a 2500 swim and Run 0:45 Z2 with a five minute pick up at 0:30.

I'm not sure what my total distance was for the Masters swim. I think the set that I enjoyed the most today was 4X50, swim fast 25 / swim easy 25.

I felt good on the run. I ran without a HR monitor and did the scheduled workout.

The weather was just about perfect, it was just quite windy at times. I think the wind and Thursday's workout knocked me back a bit. But, it was still a very enjoyable workout.

Road Ride Zone 2

[Thursday, March 26, 2015]

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 1:00 Z2 with a 5 minute pickup at 0:45.

I attached the chariot to my road bike and headed out with enough time to spare before I had to pick up Eli. I rode up Jewell to Alameda, down Green Mountain to Union, up Mississippi to Alameda, across Alameda to Green Mountain back down to Wright and back up Mississippi. That route took about an hour and I definitely got in a good 5 minute push up Mississippi into Alameda across to Green Mountain.

Then I still had the ride home after picking up Eli.

This worked out (no pun intended) well.
