When I was doing my run workout today I was feeling frustrated and disappointed. Then I took a bit of time to think about that a more. It doesn't make sense for me to be frustrated; I'm doing the best I can. I can't push myself any harder. It also doesn't make sense for me to be disappointed; I've been extremely disciplined about sticking to my workout program. I've completed almost all of my workouts. Maybe I missed one swim workout? And I had to take a couple days off one week to fully recover from stressing my muscles. read more ...

Road Ride Zone 2

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 3:00 Z2.

My muscles felt sore as I was getting ready for the workout. So I was thinking that I would back off a little bit. I headed out East on the Bear Creek Trail and figured I would head back when I was feeling like I had enough. As it turns out I ended up doing about 3:20. I wasn't planning to go longer than 3:00. It's just that with all the rain there were lots of detours on the trails and I got myself disoriented and miscalculated when I should head back.

Today's scheduled workout was a 2500 swim workout.

Green Mountain's pool is closed this week. So, I headed to Carmody to do my own workout. I swam somewhere in the range of 2100 m.

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 1:00 Z2 with a 15 minute pickup at 0:40.

My muscles were sore and I don't want to overtrain myself. So, I just did 1:00 at a comfortable PEL.

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 0:45 Z2 (QC) Run 0:15 Z2.

I felt much better today after having taken it easier yesterday. I still maintained an easy effort today.

It was rainy and cold, but I was glad to get my workout done before I started my work day.

Today's scheduled workout was a 2500 swim workout and Run 1:00 Z2 with a 15 minute pickup at 0:40.

I was exhausted yesterday and last night Zen got me up and I had trouble falling back asleep. I came downstairs around 2:30 am and took a while to fall asleep on the couch. When my alarm went of at 4:30 I decided that I needed to get more sleep. We had carpeting installed today and the worker finished in the afternoon.

Zone 1 - Zone 2 Run

Today's scheduled workout was Run 2:00 Z1 - Z2.

I pushed Eli in the stroller for about the first half hour. Then I finished up the rest of the workout on my own. I felt tired and kept an easy pace. I still haven't replaced the battery on my metronome so I'm having to aim for having the correct cadence.

Stationary Bike #1

I rode the stationary bike at the fitness center for 1:00 on a "rolling hill" profile workout. The max watts were 117 and the min watts were 82.

I did an hour of different sets in the hotel's pool. I'm so happy to be sticking with my exercise routine.

I rode the stationary bike in the fitness center. I'm glad that I had the TV monitor on the bike.
