I'm over whatever it was that I had yesterday. But, my left glute is still extremely sore. I don't know what I did during Tuesday's workout. But, I think I need to continue to give it more rest today.

Ow, Ow, Ow

When I woke up this morning, I felt completely exhausted. I felt like somebody had been beating me up while I slept. My body hurt from my head down to my bottom. I don't know what (figuratively) hit me.

I had intended to do my workout today, but I've thought better of it. I think I need a break today. I'm bummed about missing a workout, but I think it's the smarter choice. Tomorrow is another day.

I did the masters swim and did 2300 m, which included a 200 m cool down.

I ran for 1:15 outside without a HR monitor. When I started the workout I felt really good. I did end up getting tired during the workout, though, and didn't feel as peppy as I did at the beginning.

I swam about 2000 in the masters workout. The "tough" set was 3 X 100 high quality followed by 3 X 100 fast.

I rode the rollers for 0:30 without a HR monitor and ran outside for 0:15 without a HR monitor.

I chattered away to myself during the whole bike and run.

Today's scheduled workout was 1600 swim workout and Run 0:30 Z2.

The coach wasn't able to be at the workout this morning, so somebody else stepped in with an a la carte workout. I followed the warmup: 300 crawl, 200 (25 back / 25 crawl), 300 crawl. Then I did 4 X (25 fly / 25 crawl / 25 breast / 25 crawl / 25 backstroke / 25 crawl / 50 crawl). I finished with kick (on back / side) with fins 50 fly / 50 breast / 50 back / 50 crawl and 50 fly / 50 crawl / 50 back / 50 crawl.

I ran for 0:30 without a HR monitor.

I got outside and ran for just over 1:00 without a HR monitor.

It was cold this morning, but I had a wonderful workout. I'm feeling good!

Stationary Bike #1

Today's scheduled workout was Bike 1:30 Z2.

I rode an interval workout program for 45 minutes switching between 1 minute of 65 watts and 30 seconds of 115 watts. HR probably stayed around 120 bpm. Then I rode about 0:33 on a 7.2 mile challenge tour and averaged around 110 watts. HR probably averaged in the mid-130 bpm. I finished with around 0:11 on a basic tour averaging around 110 watts. I'm guessing HR still averaged in the mid-130 bpm.

I'm definitely making good use of the stationary bike workouts.
