Show time is almost here!
I skipped the swim workout yesterday because I had started to develop a hoarse throat on Thursday afternoon.
Today I'm supposed to do an easy 15 minutes on the bike and an easy 15 minutes running.
I started collecting my gear this morning. I'll be heading up to Boulder to collect my race packet a little later.

I rode for about 30 minutes. The computer reported an average speed of 15.3 mph. Then I ran for 15 minutes. I covered more distance than I had figured I would; I was likely running at a bit faster pace than I thought I was, as opposed to miscalculating the actual distance I covered.
It is great to get up and do a workout in the morning, especially when I can do it outdoors.

I swam for 30 minutes in the outdoor pool. Then I ran for about 48 minutes.
I wore the tri-suit for the second time and am happy with it. The main issue I see is that it doesn't have any place for me to put spare inner tubes.
Independently of the tri-suit, I will also have to deal with the issue of using a different heart rate monitor for the bike and the run. The additional complication that the tri-suit adds is that I don't have an easy way to place or remove the monitors.

I rode for one hour on the recumbent bike and kept my heart rate low. I was pretty sure that I was not going to be able to get in a bike ride when I got home from Austin today and I was right. So, I'm glad that I made sure I got the workout done in the hotel in the morning.

I swam for 1/2 hour at 1.30 seconds per stroke in the pool again. This time I didn't worry about doing the flip turns.

I rode the upright bike for one hour and kept my heart rate very low. It's been fun to ride the LifeFitness bikes and watch the courses they have.

I swam for 1/2 hour in the hotel pool at 1.30 seconds per stroke and ran on the treadmill for 1/2 hour. The pool was a bit short and it was tricky doing flip turns. I set the treadmill at a 2% incline. I'm glad that I was able to do this workout. I'm proud that I'm sticking to the program even as I'm at DrupalCon.
