Stationary Bike #1
The scheduled workout for today was Bike 0:30 Z2.
I got up this morning and rode on the rollers for 0:30. I still didn't take the time to put the HR on. Thirty minutes is really the limit on the rollers before I start to feel uncomfortable. So, this workout worked out (tee hee) fine.

The roads are not in good condition to get out and ride. So, rather than spend the time to use the stationary bike at the fitness center I decided to use my rollers. I did not wear the HR monitor, though. So, I don't know for certain if I was in Z2. Anyway, the actual workout was 0:15 on the rollers.
Rolling (pun intended) right along!

I am beginning again. This is Week 1 of the 30 week Just Finish beIRONfit program. Instead of joining the Masters swim this morning, I did my own workout. But, I plan to swim with the Masters from here on out.

I don't want to spend the time to do a reasonable recap of the past year; if I set that as a goal for myself, it would be too daunting for me to sit down in front of the computer and compose a post. Instead, I will start just by saying that 2014 was a just about perfect year for me. I'll take a 2015 that is just like 2014. Here are some things (in no particular order) that made 2014 so incredible:

Zone 1 - Zone 2 Run
It was grey and snowy for my run. But, I think it was in the 30's and I was comfortable in the clothes I wore.
I was loving the run for most of it. I started to feel a little antsy about being done towards the end. I don't know why since I wasn't feeling tired. Right now I'm feeling great from doing the run.

I rode up to Buffalo Bill's grave again today. I enjoyed the workout quite a bit. I don't know how long the ride took me because I had to wait to cross 6th Avenue too long on the way back and I didn't realize that the computer had stopped. But, I think I was a bit slower today than last week. I think my body needs to get used to the increased work load I've taken on with the swim and the bike.

I swam 75 X 100 ft. Even though I didn't really feel like heading out to the workout, I ended up getting into it and enjoying it.

I rode for about 45 minutes. I had intended to make it an easy workout so that I have something left for the weekend. So I decided not to ride west towards Green Mountain. But, I still ended up getting a small amount of climbing. I think that all in all it was a pretty good balance of an easier workout while still giving a bit of strength building.
The route was down Garrison (scenice route to Garrison via Lee street through Kendrick Lake Park) all the way to the 285 frontage road, across to Kipling and back up Kipling to Addenbrooke Park, then back down Garrison.
