Road Ride Zone 2
I guess I was a little concerned about whether I was going to get too hungry or thirsty when I did the workout (I am fasting for Yom Kippur) because when I started I was watching the time frequently and feeling antsy about finishing. But, it turns out that I overshot the mark and ended up riding about 2.5 hours instead of 2. It was a beautiful day for a ride and I enjoyed getting in the workout.
The timing worked out just about perfectly. By the time I finished with my shower and got dressed people were just starting to show up for the break the fast.

Well, today really got away from me without my having a chance to get in my swim workout. At least I'm still well within the outseason and I've done such a good job of filling up my bank account.
Tonight is Kol Nidre and I've got to start getting myself ready to head out to temple.
I do plan to do my bike workout tomorrow afternoon. The run workout is on for Sunday as well. So, last week I missed my long bike and run and this week I'll miss my "long" swim. Such is life sometimes.
Happy New Year!

I did my ride in conjunction with picking Eli up. I took a slightly different extended route and I think that it resulted in even more uphill climbing. Additionally, I went to Natural Grocers to do some shopping. So that added a bit of distance and a good deal more weight for the ride home.
The sky was clear and it was sunny, but a bit cool. Overall it was a very pleasant ride.

Nothing remarkable to report about this workout. I rode for about 35 minutes and ran for about 15 minutes. The weather was a bit chilly overall, but I was looking forward to doing the workout and dressed appropriately and did my thing.

I had to swim in the 50 foot lanes again. This time I did feel like I had much better rhythm.
The run was pretty uncomfortable on account of my stomach feeling bloated. I don't know if I swallowed a lot of air while swimming or a lot of water.
I was glad to have done the workout.

I volunteered for National Public Land Day today in the morning. Then I worked on some of my gardening / landscaping projects while I waited for a friend to come over to help me start to put together Eli's new play set. We worked on the play set for about three hours until it started to get dark.
I've still got a good ways to go to finish putting together the set, so it looks like I'll be getting to work on that tomorrow morning and spending as much of the day as I can on it. Our goal is to have it ready for the break-the-fast gathering at our house next weekend.

I swam 1500 yards (assuming I counted correctly) in around 30 minutes and 30 seconds. I'm feeling comfortable swimming at the stroke rate of 1.18 seconds per stroke. Now I've got to see if my stroke length will recover.

I felt pretty tired and was glad that I was doing this workout by riding to pick up Eli. Once again I added the distance/time on my way out to Eli's school and then rode directly home with him.

I rode for about 45 minutes and ran for about 15 minutes. The weather was nice and the workout was enjoyable enough.

My hamstring was hurting and I felt tired heading out to this workout. So, I planned to just keep it super easy and make my way through it.
