Busy, busy, busy

I've got a bit of catching up to do and I'm going to make it brief.

I did a couple of run workouts in Berkeley while I was attending BADCamp. My presentation on Sunday was well received and I'm very happy with the job I did.

I had to go in for a jury summons on the 26th. I never got called in to the courtroom and was dismissed well before noon. I did a few workouts that week, including the 30/20/10 stationary bike.

I ran for about 50 minutes. I think tomorrow I'll have to get my workout in around Berkeley. So, I'm guessing the rest of the days won't have hill work like this if any at all.

Masters Swim

I completed 2050 of the 2300 workout today. I probably would have completed all of it had it not been for the fact that there was a fair amount of kick sets.

I was up again at 2:30 and did get some work done before the workout. I felt great about going to the workout.

I ran the Kipling / Alameda / Garrison route. I don't have any idea how long it took me. I felt okay and did have to concentrate on staying relaxed.

Masters Swim

I had planned to sleep until 5:30 this morning and just skip the swim workout. But, I was up at 3:30. I took care of some business and decided that I might as well head out to the workout.

I don't think I've ever had one time yet that I wasn't glad that I got up to do the swim workout. Jeff wasn't there today and Jim was prepared to run things. He put together a really interesting workout, including doing things like "pins" and vertical kicking.

I've been experiencing sever insomnia and had to skip my workout yesterday. I did sleep a bit better last night. I decided that I could use to get out for a run today and ran for about 50 minutes.

Even though I know that I need to get stronger on the bike, I think that running provides me with some additional benefits beyond physical fitness. I used to love to get out for runs just for the sake of the relaxation. Let me see how I sleep tonight :)
