Masters Swim
I did get out of bed more quickly this morning. But, then I had to find my wallet and keys. And I had to ride my bike more slowly because there is snow on the ground!
Scott prints out the workouts and puts them on a kickboard. So, even though I started the workout a bit late, I still did it from the beginning. Today's workout was a lot of crawl. There were a two or three sets that were Choice and I did some backstroke. Scott didn't give me any pointers today. I'm still continuing to think about keeping my elbow up and my arm extended when I breathe. I think that I may have corrected the position of my hand entry.
I did 1500m in today's workout.
While I'm swimming, I still tend to pretend that I'm swimming really fast. When I look over at the swimmers in lane two I see that I've still got lots of work to do to pick up my pace. I'm not getting impatient with the learning process. But, I do wonder what I need to change and what it's going to take for things to click. I wonder if my improvement will be gradual or if there will be a point that I make some quantum leap. Right now I'll have to hang in there and have faith that I'll make it out of the slow lane at some point.
It felt like the ride home was colder than the ride to the workout. I wouldn't be surprised if the temperature is actually going to drop to the "high" for the day.
My phone is saying that it's currently 18 degrees with a forecasted high of 27. I thought that yesterday they were predicting a high of 21. I wonder what the temperature was when I was going to the workout and when I was coming back home. Fortunately, it's not that long of a ride and I didn't find it to be too bad at all.
