Following through

It was just over two weeks ago that I wrote about reading "Callings" by Gregg Levoy. I finished it a few days ago. I also contacted the author to tell him I'd like to interview him for my "Inspiration for Success" Blabcast. He got back to me that same day telling me that he'd be willing to do it. I followed up to answer some of his questions and to get the ball rolling. Unfortunately, I have not received a response. Bummer.

I think I need to dance now

Recently I came across a Tedx talk in which the speaker said "leaders are readers" and that everybody should be reading every day. He went as far as to say we could all afford to spend 10 minutes reading every day, and if we did so we would end up reading twelve books each year. What he said made sense to me and I decided to start reading. I chose a book, "Callings: Finding and Following an Authentic Life", by Gregg Levoy that I had in my basement and which I had read previously.

Checking In

TL;DR I started this blog so that I would remember times when I was struggling, even after better times might come along. I've still got my share of struggles and learning I'm experiencing now.

I've been remiss in posting to this blog. I was good about posting every day when I was training for the IronMan. It was easy to document my workout. I didn't really talk about much else, though. I have been reasonably disciplined about continuing to follow a workout schedule. But, that's not why I'm making sure to sit down and write this post now. Let me finally get to it.

Checking in

I've started doing (at least a few) things a little bit differently in 2016. Maybe there is still more that I'll need to do differently.

After fighting against a cold for a ridiculous amount of time, I have begun exercising again. It's not just about getting into shape; it's also about making sure that I don't just sit in front of my computer all day long seven days a week.

Taking Account

I've been working on my 2015 Year in Review this morning. The information is available at https://github.com/MarcEIsaacson/2015-Ridiculously-Open-Repository. I'm not going to repeat everything here.

I have been fighting a cold for many weeks. It's hanging on its last legs today. I think I will resume some exercise starting today.

Sunday Update

Yesterday I rode the stationary bike for a 30 minute strength workout. Today I ran 30 minutes on the treadmill doing a similar type of strength workout.

Today's update

I completed an interval bike / run combination on Wednesday. As planned, I rested yesterday. I did a Masters workout this morning.

Yesterday I was not exactly productive with my business. I suppose I accomplished some marketing (and maybe relationship building?). But, mostly I think I wasted a lot of time.

I'll reset myself and do better today.

I give thanks to the Universe for the abundance it provides me. I surrender and am open and ready to receive.

Milestones achieved, goals still to be reached

I have been working hard to get pieces in place for Udemy's Black Friday promotions. I've got five courses published.

Busy, busy, busy

I've got a bit of catching up to do and I'm going to make it brief.

I did a couple of run workouts in Berkeley while I was attending BADCamp. My presentation on Sunday was well received and I'm very happy with the job I did.

I had to go in for a jury summons on the 26th. I never got called in to the courtroom and was dismissed well before noon. I did a few workouts that week, including the 30/20/10 stationary bike.

Zone 1 - Zone 2 Run

I ran for about 50 minutes. I think tomorrow I'll have to get my workout in around Berkeley. So, I'm guessing the rest of the days won't have hill work like this if any at all.
